As members of Calvary Christian Reformed Church we aim to nurture loving and committed disciples of Christ by being “devoted to teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayer.” (Acts 2:42)
God’s word is central in our:
- Education,
- Church Programs,
- Home life, and
- Work and Leisure.
We celebrate our faith in Jesus through:
- Inspiring Spirit-led worship,
- Faithful celebration of the sacraments,
- Spiritual and material stewardship, and
- Prayer.
We are inspired by the Holy Spirit to:
- Foster caring relationships,
- Be sensitive to individual needs,
- Encourage the use of all gifts,
- Practice hospitality with all guests from all walks of life, and
- Reach out to those not in a relationship with Christ.
We confirm our commitment to educate through:
- Preaching,
- Church education programs,
- Small groups,
- Workshops, and
- Christian day schools.
We intend to realize our vision by:
- Endeavoring to grow, through passionate spirituality, a life of faith and a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ,
- Striving to make our worship services an inspiring experience for those attending,
- Nurturing loving relationships with all members of the congregation,
- Helping members to identify their gifts and be integrated into appropriate ministries,
- Embracing functional structures that promote an ongoing multiplication of the ministry,
- Seeking leaders who empower other Christians for service,
- Cultivating holistic small groups that enable group members learn to serve each other as well as the Lord, and
- Focusing evangelistic efforts on the question and the needs of those not in a relationship with Christ.
